RGU: ResLife

RGU: ResLife is a new concept which aims to provide a holistic service to ensure RGU students get the  most out of the student experience. It covers everything from social events on & off campus to support services for new & existing students, ensuring that the available resources are always on hand.

Donny McCormick is the ResLife coordinator, working alongside Terry McKnight of Accomodation Services. His role is multifaceted – he works with students to give them advice on any matter they are unsure about, and he also coordinates the events calendar, liaises with other parts of the university to facilitate projects that are beneficial to the student experience, and works with internal and external stakeholders.

The ResLife concept fits in well with the Healthy University initiative as they are both involved with improving the overall experience and prioritise the wellbeing of the university community.

RGU: ResLife are holding Welcome Week from 12-19 September, to welcome new students (and returning ones) before Freshers’ Week. More information can be found at RGU: ResLife. As part of this week, there will be a Campus Orientation day on Wednesday 16 September, with inflatables, campus tours (on foot and on bike!), and there will be an RGU Marketplace. The event will run from 10am – 3pm and is open to all.
