Facilities Sites Supervisor Brian Strachan tells us about his Movember story
You may have already heard (or noticed!) that there are a number of Estates staff taking part in movember this year, myself Ian Webster and Ian Parker, along with over 60 staff and students doing it across the University! To date we have collected over £1240!
Please see attached latest picture of my moustache. It’s in its early stages yet and given time will hopefully be slightly more impressive. I’ll keep my Movember site updated regularly with pictures.
We all have a reason for doing it. My own motivation is Testicular cancer and to get across the message that men need to understand the importance of regularly checking of their testicles and the benefits this brings in term of early diagnosis and treatment.
The Movember campaign covers various aspects of men’s health, along with testicular cancer, it also helps with prostate cancer and men’s mental health amongst other things.

But whichever way you donate it all goes to a very worthwhile cause.
Thanks you in anticipation.
