A new exhibition has just been set up in the refectory area of the Sir Ian Wood building, being hosted for the European Commission in Edinburgh.
Entitled “Family Meal – What Brings Us Together?”, the exhibition was shot by the renowned UK photographer Chris Terry. He travelled around the world visiting families who receive the World Food Programme’s assistance. Hi Journey took him to Ecuador, Chad, Niger, Jordan and Myanmar, in search of the ingredients of the family meal.
The aim of the exhibition is to show that as well as the infinitive number of customs that differentiate one culture from another, there are universals that form the foundations of common humanity.
The exhibition is at RGU until 15th December, so why not pop along and have a look in your lunch hour, or on one of your breaks?
