Update from Fit for the Future

Hello! I hope everyone has had a lovely summer and enjoyed time off if you’ve managed to take it.

The Blog has taken a little bit of a back seat over the summer but we’re back now with an update of planned activities over the next few months.

Workout at Work – W@W takes place on Wednesday 7th September, 12-2.30pm.

The day is coordinated by MSc Physiotherapy classes and aims to promote activities you can take part in at work to help keep you active and healthy.

Activities planned for the day include pilates, aerobics, guided walks around campus, and free entry to RGU Sport.

For more information please contact Kay Cooper .

For the full programme, please see here: W@W 2016 Programme

Wellness Wednesdays

Planning for this new series of events is still in the early stages but we hope over the next few months to be rolling out a series of events on Wednesday afternoons aimed at promoting health and wellbeing – both mental and physical – of staff and students. More details about this exciting initiative will follow when finalised!

Smoking Cessation

We hope, following excellent feedback, to run some more sessions with the NHS Grampian Smoking Cessation advisors. If this is something you would be keen to participate in, then please let me know so we can gauge the level of interest
